We’re seeking experienced drivers to join our home delivery team, based in Huddersfield and covering the whole UK. As a long-distance driver, you’ll deliver mattresses, sofas, flat-pack furniture and more, working alone or as part of a 2-person delivery team.
What the role involves
- Up to 15 deliveries per day – a physical role requiring good fitness
- Depot departure from Huddersfield at 5:30am
- Delivery to customer homes plus collection of items for return to depot
- Routes planned over 2 days with an overnight stay required
- Typical routes might include Aberdeen, Penzance, Cardiff or Belfast
- Some light assembly (a few screws or clips) – not flat-pack assembly or appliance installation
Hours, accommodation and overtime
Shift patterns available for up to 45 hours per week, including occasional weekends. Where an overnight stay is required, we provide a Premier Inn or Travelodge plus a nightly meal allowance. Overtime is available for 2-person deliveries once weekly driving hours are met.
Requirements
Full UK driving licence with no more than 6 points. Please provide your CV outlining previous experience. All positions are handled by Nexus Delivery Team Ltd.
